The Story
The Trerè family has their roots in agriculture where their grandfather acquired 14 acres of land on the hills of Faenza, Romagna, an ancient town rich in noble traditions and world-renowned art treasures.
Their first wines, back in the 1960s, were the Albana, Sangiovese, and Trebbiano. Since then they have continued to refine their vineyard management, vine training system, green harvesting, organic practice, and so on, all towards achieving optimal concentrations of sugar, phenolics, and acidity.
The result are wines that are healthy and robust in sensory profile, coupled with the right components and structure for aging.
Their entire production of 150,000 bottles are made with estate-grown grapes.

» Aged in stainless-steel tanks, with 5 months on the lees; approximately 15,000 bottles produced.
» Medium gold colour, with aromas of citrus, wildflowers, honey, almonds, and Mediterranean herbs.
» This dry wine has moderate acidity, medium body, and the aromas are repeated on the palate.
» Herbs and minerality complete the medium-long finish.
» Perfectly pairs with white fish and other seafood dishes.

TASTING NOTES:
» Produced from vines over 20 years old, aged in temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks, and then aged 12 months in French oak barrels.
» Ruby red in colour, with aromas of blackberry and black cherry jam, and spices.
» On the palate, this wine presents soft tannins with a long, fruity and robust finish.
» Serve with red meats, and pasta with meat sauce.
- Loads of dried cherries and raspberry coulis are on offer here, not to mention herbal tea and spice box. Plenty of wood tannins on the palate, but it’s quite well integrated into the dried red fruit. Full-bodied and chewy. Drink from 2022.❞ – James Suckling (November 2019)
