▸ 92 Points – Wine Enthusiast (Oct 2022)

“Aged half in wood and half in amphorae, the wine is richly balanced. Generous black fruits are smooth, layering acidity and black plum fruits. The wine is impressive and ready to drink.”
Roger Voss (Oct 2022)

▸ 91 Points – James Suckling (May 2023)

“Graphite, pencil lead and hints of peppercorn and tilled earth on top of the balsamic blackberry fruit. Supple and quite succulent on the palate with ductile mulberry fruit and black tea. Long, complex and soft. Enjoyable now.”
Zekun Shuai (May 2023)

LISTED| Vintage 2017

▸ Dark ruby red. ▸ Rich, perfumed, concentrated expression of black fruits with whiff of toast / vanilla. ▸ Dense black fruit on the palate with delicious acidity, very fine and succulent tannins, and a minerality that leads to a superb finish. ▸ Spontaneous fermentation. Aged 2/3 in amphorae and 1/3 in 500L barrels. Malolactic fermentation in barrels and amphorae for 12 months. ▸ Vines from 1979, grafted on site with old clones of malbec. This cuvée is an equal blend of wine aged separately in amphora and fût (barrel), thus the combined word of Amphût. It is a radical departure from the old austere Malbec of the past.

Food pairingsPairs well with roasted meat dishes in savoury sauce.
