▸ 90 Points – Jeb Dunnuck (Aug 2018)

“The 2016 Côtes-du-Rhône La Chapelle is another great Côtes-du-Rhône from this vintage. Offering lots of blueberry and cherry fruits intermixed with complex notes of spice, exotic flowers, and rose petals, it’s medium-bodied, elegant, and nicely balanced as well. Drink it over the coming 4-5 years.”
Jeb Dunnuck (Aug 2018)

▸ La Chapelle is a fruit driven red wine designed for an instant pleasure. ▸ Made naturally from very low yield old Grenache associated with Syrah, its round and supple tannins fully express red fruit aromas when consumed young. ▸ Round and supple mouthfeel is contributed by the Grenache while Syrah brings in structure and fine tannins. ▸ Why “La Chapelle”? – La Chapelle gets its name from a very ancient chapel, Notre Dame de Mayran built in 10th century, located in Saint Victor La Coste. ▸ Each varietal is vinified separately for 2 to 3 weeks in concrete tanks under controlled temperature preserving the freshness and the balance of the fruit. No oak aging.
