▸ 94 Points – Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (Aug 2019)
“The 2018 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Julien Barrot is the cuvee formerly known as Signature, now under the imprimatur of winemaker Julien Barrot. About 60% to 65% Grenache this year, with almost 20% Mourvedre and 13% Syrah and a mix of other varieties, it underwent no pigeage (punch-downs), no delestage (rack and return) and just the softest of remontage (pump-overs). It shows wonderful harmony, showcasing delicate raspberries and cherries on the nose. Full-bodied, supple and warm yet silky and so easy to drink, with plenty of length and a touch of chocolate on the finish.”–Joe Czerwinski (Aug 2019)
