Cantina Sardus Pater
Our Story
Established in 1949 as a cooperative society, Cantina Sardus Pater is located on the island of Sant'Antioco, in the south western part of Sardinia. The grapes, grown by 200 members, come from an area of 300 hectares. Most of the vineyards are in Carignano and the oldest of these are on the island of Sant'Antioco. These vines are over 50 years old, planted on sandy soils with low yields per hectare that produce grapes of the highest quality. Each bottle produced is the result of a selection of the grapes and vinification, to guarantee the consumer a wine of the best quality. The management of the winery is entrusted to oenologist, Francesco Bertagna, and consulting oenologist, Riccardo Cotarella.
