Our Story

Created in 1970, Domaine des Marrans is in Fleurie, located in the heart of Cru Beaujolais, 50km North of Lyon. Mathieu Mélinand is the third-generation winemaker of the family who took over the winery from his father, Jean-Jacques in 2009. The 19-hectare vineyards are planted on granitic soil, spanning through 6 appellations of Beaujolais. The vineyards are organically farmed and managed. The wines ferment with their natural yeasts and are pure expressions of the terroir on which the grapes are grown.
