Domaine Longère

Our Story

Domaine Longère is a 6th generation farm located in the heart of Beaujolais in the towns of Perréon and Vaux-en-Beaujolais "Clochemerle" near Mount Brouilly. This family estate covers 5 hectares of vineyard divided into small sections, managed by Jean-Luc Longère and his wife Régine. "I continue to be a great admirer of this small domaine in the village of Pérreon. With a mere five hectares, its steeply sloping pink granite hills number among the finest terroirs in the Beaujolais-Villages appellation. Dedicated vineyard work, much of it performed by hand, delivers grapes that are judiciously vinified, with partial destemming, gentle extraction and deftly judged élevage. Twenty percent of the estate's production is Chardonnay, and Jean-Luc Longère does a fine job with his Beaujolais Blanc too. Most of the production, of course, is sold direct to savvy consumers who visit the small tasting room." Robert Parker The Wine Advocate 2021
