Our Story

Dominique Piron, owner of Domaine du Vieux Bourg, has spent 50 years making wine in Morgon. In 2020, he sold his commercial interest in "Maison Piron", the company he created in 1987, to embark on a different winemaking journey in search of the best rather than "more". With his family vineyard as base, a 35-hectare estate dating back to the 16th century, he leads a young and energetic team to usher Dom. du Vieux Bourg into a Beaujolais revival. The Domaine is certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environmentale) for their eco-friendly and sustainable agricultural practices. They are working towards organic certification.
