Top Drop 2025

World Wine Synergy (WWS) is proud to have once again been selected to participate in Top Drop, one of Canada’s most respected wine events. Organized by wine industry leaders, Top Drop seeks agencies that represent wineries with exceptional portfolios, strong reputations, and a demonstrated commitment to environmentally responsible practices. Being chosen is an honour and recognition of not only the wineries we represent but also of WWS’s mission and values.

This year we welcomed

Chiara Condello (of Chiara Condello and Condé), Dominique Piron (of Domaine du Vieux Bourg), Elise Rialland (from Casale del Giglio), Antonella Bronca (of Sorelle Bronca).

During their week-long stay in BC, Chiara, Dominique, Elise, and Antonella not only took part in key tastings and seminars but also hosted pairing dinners at restaurants passionate about showcasing their wines.

One highlight was an evening at Zambri’s, where the spotlight was on the three Italian winemakers. This spectacular soirée drew over 75 guests.

Another standout success was a sold-out dinner at Vancouver Golf Club, featuring wines specially flown in for Top Drop.

Victoria wine enthusiasts were treated to a Beaujolais masterclass with Dominique Piron at the Magnolia Hotel, while in Vancouver, Piron presented a winemaker tasting at the BC Liquor Stores’ 39th & Cambie flagship store alongside Chef Danny Deng of Neue Catering. Both events were very well attended and enthusiastically received.

As always, the consumer response to the wide variety of wines poured was enthusiastic and highly positive, with many discovering wines they had not previously tasted. Well-received in particular were: Chiara Condello ’Le Lucciole’ Romagna DOC Sangiovese Predappio Riserva 2021 and Forli Rosé IGT 2024; Clos du Vieux Bourg Beaujolais Blanc 2023 and Côte du Py Morgon AOC 2022, Casale del Giglio’s Anthium Bellone Lazio Bianco IGT 2023, Cesanese Lazio Rosso IGT 2022, and Matidia Cesanese Lazio Rosso IGT 2022.

Also, many were delighted to taste Sorelle Bronca’s Rive wines, including Particella 181 and Particella 232, and be introduced to the distinctive elevation of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, as compared to Prosecco DOC.

“Top Drop reaffirms why we do what we do at World Wine Synergy: bringing together wines of authenticity, made with care for the land and the people who tend it,” says Grace Li. “It’s all the more meaningful when we can connect with those who appreciate their stories and craft. Overall, it has been a valuable engagement that we look forward to repeating in 2026.”
