Top Drop 2026 Recap

Top Drop 2026

Wine, Food, Discovery

Top Drop 2026 was a memorable week for World Wine Synergy, bringing our producers from Greece and France to Vancouver and Victoria for wine, education, food and plenty of discovery.

Greece: A New Chapter of Legacy
and Innovation

Introducing Domaine Sigalas, Domaine Duseigneur & Château Roquefort

At Top Drop, we introduced Domaine Sigalas and showcased Greek wines alongside Domaine Duseigneur, including its new biodynamic Sakura, Côtes du Rhône and Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc and Rouge. Château Roquefort completed the lineup with its organic Bordeaux Rives and Rocca Forte.

Beyond the main tasting, our producers joined us for seminars, pairing dinners and trade events at Vessel Liquor Store, Brentwood Bay Resort and Hydra Estiatorio, followed by a week of visits to BCL and private retailers. While in Victoria, we showed them around our beautiful province’s capital.

And, naturally, there was food! We introduced our guests to Vancouver’s hot pot, Peking duck and Cantonese cuisine, alongside Greek and West Coast flavours. A particularly memorable afternoon at Dr. John Volpe’s home, sharing local oysters, spot prawns and salmon sashimi, was the perfect expression of what WWS loves most—bringing people, wine and cultures together around the table.

A Taste of What May Be Coming in 2027…

Could Galicia be next? Adegas Valmiñor’s Yago Gómez is keen to return to Vancouver next May, and we are working toward bringing his exciting Galician wines back to the city around Top Drop 2027. For those who won’t have the opportunity to meet Yago at this year’s Victoria wine festivities, Vancouver may get its turn next spring! Nothing confirmed just yet—but Galicia may be calling Vancouver. Stay tuned.
